Unfortunately it leaks when you remove the screw. Its vital that these pumps hold pressure so come with a system to hold pressure as you remove them. I believe its the design that means it leaks as you undo the red screw.
The product is made of aluminum and is great. The valve has a pressure gauge that indicates the pressure you should or are applying. It's perfectly suitable for bicycle air shocks and is highly recommended.
