The item picture shows "alarm if unscrew the screw". That is misleading. The actual unscrewing does not activate the alarm. The unscrewing without steady hands triggers the vibration sensor which activates the alarm. Also the vibration detection must be turned on. Be aware that this device alone cannot protect your bike. The thief can easy cut the cable, throw it on the ground, and rdie your bike away in a few seconds.use this device for audible awareness while the thief is working on the main lock/chain,
